Venturing into Middle Earth

PartyWorks printed and installed the Hobbit theme signage throughout the Foothill Cinema Stadium 10 theater in Azusa for the midnight showing of the Hobbit.

“Fans line up for `midnight show of The Hobbit’

Young and old alike dressed in their finest Middle Earth attire on Thursday, Dec. 13, for the midnight showing of “The Hobbit,” the first installment of Peter Jackson’s planned trilogy based on the J.R.R. Tolkien novel.

At the Foothill Cinema Stadium 10 theater in Azusa, a release party was held in association with TheOneRing.net, a fan site created before the release of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

Trivia questions tested the knowledge of the fans in line and prizes included licensed merchandise from the film.

The theater also accepted toys as part of a Toys for Tots collection, offering a free bag of popcorn or Applebee’s certificates for each new, unwrapped toy worth more than $10.”
